Rachelle met Gabriel Sollenberger in May of 2022, and they started dating the next month.
They got engaged in April of 2023, Gabriel moved to Kentucky in May, and they were married August 23, 2023 in Russellville, KY.
Rachelle had lived in Kentucky her entire life, and the couple lived there for a little over a year.
Gabriel worked for Rachelle’s cousin delivering tiny homes during that time, and she had fun going along on deliveries! Rachelle also started driving the escort vehicle for him, and loved getting to spend time with her husband and also get paid to do it!
During that year, Rachelle got pregnant with their first child. They were so excited and told their families and closest friends only a couple days after finding out themselves.
They found a midwife about an hour away, and had the first prenatal appointment around 12 weeks along.
At that first visit, the midwife struggled to find a heartbeat, so they thought the baby was small, or in a difficult position. Rachelle was so thankful the midwife had an ultrasound machine, because by the time that was brought out, she was fighting tears, struggling with the emotions and suspense. She was more thankful than ever that Gabriel had come with her!
The midwife looked and looked for what seemed like forever, but the sac looked completely empty. The midwife didn’t know what to think. She told them she had an ultrasound tech coming out that same afternoon, and asked if they could come back so that the tech could try later.
Gabriel and Rachelle went to the closest town, got something to eat even though they weren't really hungry at this point, and tried to keep back the tears that were close to the surface.
That afternoon they headed back to midwife’s place, and the ultrasound tech took a look. All the way at the bottom they could make out a tiny little something lying there with no heartbeat. The baby was measuring about 9 weeks old, so it had passed away about 3 weeks prior to the appointment.
The couple wasn’t sure what to do at that point. They were hoping the baby would pass on its own and they wouldn’t have to do a DNC. The pain of losing a child so soon was really hard for Rachelle, but she was able to praise the Lord for His grace during this difficult time. Sadly she carried her angel baby for a month and a half longer, trying castor oil and an herbal DNC. They were getting worried about how long it was taking, and finally scheduled an appointment for a DNC.
The night before the appointment, Rachelle began having contractions, and about three hours later their angel baby was born. So tiny and so perfect. Rachelle was so relieved that the DNC wasn’t necessary after all!
Four months later, Rachelle had another positive pregnant test!! This time she was very hesitant to believe that everything was going to be ok. They only told their parents and waited several weeks, wondering and hoping.
At around 8 weeks, they found a midwife who was willing to check for a heartbeat. Again the midwife struggled to find a heartbeat, and Rachelle couldn’t help but worry. But when they used the ultrasound machine, the midwife was able to get a strong heartbeat and see a very wiggly baby! Gabriel and Rachelle were so happy and relieved!
At the time, the couple was thinking of moving to PA temporarily (Gabriel’s hometown). Rachelle wasn't sure about moving so far North away from her family, but she knew God would be with them every step of the way! They moved October of 2025 into a very nice, cozy house, and having a nice place to be helped with the move considerably. Pregnancy continued to go very well, and Rachelle enjoyed having a sister-in-law nearby who was expecting at the same time.
The idea of birth was terrifying to Rachelle, but she continued to give her fears to God each time they resurfaced. Rachelle did everything she could to prepare herself physically and mentally, and on June 23, their little sunshine baby, Jasmine Kate, was born! Rachelle came through it all with so much gratitude to God for sustaining her and giving her the birth she wanted at home.
Rachelle has been loving momma life ever since! All the little smiles and giggles are so worth the long nights and times that things don't go very well.
Coffee has always been a huge part of Rachelle’s life, and she doesn’t know how she would manage without it. Messy bun is one of her favorite dark roasts!!
Rachelle loves going on walks with her little family, and enjoys being a Monat dealer on the side. She and Gabriel are currently preparing to move again, and as they go through this process again, memories from their move only a little over a year ago are pretty fresh!
But with God's help and lots of coffee she knows they will get through this season.🙌

We don’t always understand the why? But we know that all things can work together for those who love Him!
