Susan Gross is a stay at home mom of 4 who lives with her family in a Hutterite Colony. Hutterites are a Christian Anabaptist group of believers living together in community. Her family shares a community in Eastern Manitoba, Canada with 116 other members. They work closely together with each other, helping and encouraging each other in their spiritual lives as well as in day to day living.
Living in a Christian community, Hutterites are taught about Jesus from as early as they can remember. Susan has known from an early age that she wanted to be a follower of Jesus. She has come to learn that God doesn’t always move mountains in front of her eyes, but He can reveal Himself in the ordinary day-to-day instances of daily living when she seeks Him.
Susan and her husband got married in 2010, and have been richly blessed with 4 healthy children. Brooklyn, age 13, Colton, age 11, Myla, age 9, and Noah, age 8. As a family, they enjoy going for walks on the river, fishing, playing board games, visiting grandparents and family, and just being together.
Some of Susan’s hobbies include sewing, crocheting, singing, cooking, baking cakes, and listening to audio books. In the warmer summer months, she enjoys caring for her lawn and flowers.
A memory Susan cherishes is the time when she and her husband joined another couple to chaperone a group of girls on a trip to British Columbia for 2 weeks. They saw lots of beautiful scenery and experienced many unforgettable moments.
Susan’s favorite bible verse is, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 She loves the wonderful reminder the apostle Paul left for us!
